ARTISTIC PROGRAMME - AFROCATS

If you can talk you can sing, if you can move you can dance!

Afrocats is a dance company that started in 2003, working with young people from Rwanda, Burundi and Manchester between the ages of 13 & 25 years old.

Afrocats combine Arican & Caribbean dance with a variety of other influences from Street, Jazz, R'n'B and Contemporary dance.

The company is led by dancer and choreographer Magdalen Bartlett and has performed at a variety of events in Manchester including the CAN Now We Talkin' youth arts event held at Zion Arts in October 2004 as part of Black History Month and performed the highly acclaimed 'Where Is Home?' at the greenroom and Zion Arts in November 2005.
